Rhamu flew from my arms to Rainbow Bridge at 1300 hours on 9 October 2001.

 I knew that morning when I was photographing him that they would be the last pictures I took of my beloved furbaby.  I can hardly bear to look at them - so thin and scruffy, but bravely lifting his head when I called to him. 
 
I believe he died of congestive heart failure - a complication of long term diabetes and chronic renal failure.  The support from so many members of the FDMB helped us to accept our loss and we are at last (January 2002) looking to get a couple of new kitties - they have yet to be born.  стоимость перевода

Tom was diagnosed after going into Ketoacidosis. We thought we would lose him but he pulled through. He lost a lot of weight and was initally on Caninsulin. We went through three vets before finding the Uni clinic. Tom's Urea and Creatine are up and we are keeping a close eye on that. He often gets UTI's (Urinary Tract Infections) and he hates being pilled. He has now put some weight back on and is looking and feeling better. Sara would do much better if I could jut give her tablets - she is easy to medicate this way. She hates the ear picks and injections but we are very new at this with her. I am lucky I am an RN and have experience with injections etc. but it is different on your beloved pet.

Goo's insulin needs began to drop off after a couple of months of treatment, to the point where she would rebound at the drop of a hat (or more to the point on 0.2 units of insulin). We stopped insulin on 8 March 2003, one day before our 3 month anniversary.

We suspect Goo's pancreas still has some function, but isn't quite ready to go back to work full time yet.
